Some people may think, it is expensive to live in an assisted living facility. Once you move into a facility, you do not worry about mortgage or rent, property taxes, home insurance, home maintenance, utilities and reduced or no transportation costs. Staff is available 24 hours for assistance, and the peace of mind that comes with it is priceless.
Residents are encouraged to bring their own furnishings and recreate their own bedroom at home.
Rent at assisted living starts at an affordable $2200.00 a month for the courtyard units and $2600.00 for the newer units. Basic rent includes all the meals, housekeeping, laundry, all utilities including direct TV and transportation for medical appointments. All units are private units with a living room, bedroom, bathroom and a walk-in-closet. For couples, the charge for second person is only $650.00.
There are additional charges for residents requiring additional care like bathing, dressing, incontinent care and assistance with medication management.
Rent at memory care is $4000.00 a month and includes all personal care except for incontinence and assistive feeding. All of the units at memory care are private units with private bathrooms.
Long term care insurance pay for assisted living services as long as you meet some criteria. If you or your spouse is a veteran and served in the military during war time, you may be eligible for additional pension, if you live in an assisted living facility. Even though most of our residents are private pay, several of our residents pay for it with long term care insurance and aid and attendance pension from the Veteran’s Administration. Medicare and Medi-Cal do not cover assisted living services.Print This Page
